Get a free bike check-up
Anyone who uses a bike can have it checked for proper, safe functioning by an expert free of charge this week.
CYCLISTS are being invited to visit one of 700 sports or bike shops for a free bike check up.
The Diagnostic Vélo (bike check-up) event is from March 21 to April 3. Participating shops can be found by clicking here.
The check looks at 22 elements, including the brakes, gears and wheels and the bike owner gets a form showing what has been checked.
The event is being organised by sports shop professional body FPS with the support of road safety professionals and Ademe, which promotes greener lifestyles.
The aim is to promote the safe use of bikes as opposed to more polluting transport types.
