Day two of the air traffic controllers' walkout will see more cancellations than yesterday
MORE than half of flights in France are not running today in day two of an air traffic controllers strike that is due to end tonight.
The number of cancellations is up on yesterday's figure of 1,700 - and further walkouts are planned from April 16-18 and April 29-May 2.
Montpellier was one of the worst-affected airports yesterday, with 78% of flights there not operating.
Ryanair has cancelled 254 flights today. Easyjet says there will continue to be "significant impact to our flights" today. Their Flight Tracker page can be found here.
Short and medium-haul flights make up the bulk of the cancellations. Air France plans to operate all of its long-haul services normally today.
