Harry Potter train touring France

Meet the animal stars and see costumes and props from the latest film on board a special train to promote its release.

A HARRY Potter themed train will be steaming into cities across France to celebrate the release of the latest film.

The special train celebrating the release of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince will be touring France until June 21 with the costumes, props – and even the animal stars of the latest instalment on board.

Launched by the SNCF in collaboration with Warners Bros, Harry Potter fans will have the chance to meet Harry’s owl Hedwig (Edwige in French), Hermione’s cat Crookshanks (Pattenrond) and Hagrid’s dog Fang (Crockdur).

The video game version of the film will also be available to play on two Wii consoles on board the train, in advance of its release on July 2, and the film's release on July 15.

The Harry Potter train will be at these stations on these dates from 9.00 – 19.00:
