Lightbulbs are free but take a while to arrive
Be patient if you are still waiting for your free lightbulbs
One of the regular contributors to Connexion applied for a box of free light bulbs over six months ago, and was beginning to think the scheme must be a scam - but look what turned up this week.
One in three households in France is eligible to receive five free LED bulbs as well as vastly reduced prices for more of them (eg. 10 more for just €1). Those whose income is above the levels to benefit may still order at good value prices.
Applicants have to fill in a brief online form on the www.mesampoulesgratuites.fr website, with details including the tax number of all taxpayers in the property, to benefit from the scheme - though it seems that receiving the bulbs may take some time.
The offer is part of a government initiative to reduce France’s power bill and help lower income households.
Have you sent off for free light bulbs? And if so, how long did they take to arrive? Let us know at news@connexionfrance.com
