Long-lost ring is found in bean pod
Côtes d’Armor woman reunited with precious ring after it was found in Morbihan by man shelling beans
A WOMAN from Côtes d’Armor has been reunited with a precious lost ring after it was found inside a bean pod in Morbihan.
The ring, inscribed with the names Pascal and Valerie, was found by a resident of Lanester as he shelled white coco de Paimpol beans at his home, Ouest France reports.
The finder, identified as Dominique, said he believed it had been in the ground and the plant had grown up around it.
The ring’s real owner - a producer of the bean in Goudelin, Côtes d’Armor - heard about the find in the media and recognised the ring in a picture.
“I thought I had lost it forever,” she said.
As a thank you for finding and returning the ring, the woman and her husband presented Dominique with a basket of beans as this France 3 video shows.
