MEPs want your views on UK’s Brexit offer
MEPs fighting for the rights of British people in the EU27 and EU27 citizens in Britain are asking for urgent feedback on the proposals the UK made for citizens’ rights yesterday.
The ‘EU citizens’ taskforce’ is a group of seven MEPs, of several nationalities including British, dedicated to helping make sure a fair deal is agreed for expats on both sides after Brexit.
They say they would like to know how you think the UK government’s proposals would affect you personally – whether good, bad or indifferent. Do they reassure you as to your rights being protected, or not?

The UK's offer is a response to the one one the EU has set out at this link. Together these statements are expected to form the basis for discussion of expats' rights over the next few months.
The taskforce has backed the idea of expats' rights being 'ring-fenced' off from the rest of the Brexit deal, so whatever is agreed would stand even if there is no agreement on the rest. So far, however, neither side has explicitly agreed to this.
