Michelin publishes 100th guide
Gordon Ramsay wins two stars for his Versailles restaurant.
UK CHEF Gordon Ramsay has won two stars for his Versailles restaurant in the 100th edition of the Michelin Guide.
The UK chef opened the Gordon Ramsay au Trianon last year saying he had “had a belly-full of the French coming over here and telling us how s*** our food is.”
Ramsay has now collected 12 stars in total for restaurants around the world.
Other successes are three-stars for Eric Fréchon for his restaurant at the Hotel Bristol in Paris and Jean-Luc Rabanel for L’Atelier in Arles.
Last year Marseilles won its first three-star restaurant with the Petit Nice fish restaurant run by Gérald Passédat
The guide was first published in 1900 but was not printed during the first and second world wars – leading this year’s edition to be the 100th.
It sells 370,000 copies in France and has 26 editions for 23 countries – the most recent being for Hong Kong.
