A dog that disappeared following a burglary at a property in Antibes has been found more than two years later - in Italy.
But the discovery that her beloved pet has been found alive and well has presented the animal's original owner with a problem. The Jack Russell terrier was found wandering along a roadside in 2015 by an Italian family who took the dog in. They have cared for the animal ever since.
It was only by chance, when the animal needed medical treatment that the identity of its original owner was discovered.
The vet contacted the Antibes' woman, who has taken in another pet, and now has to decide whether to reclaim her original dog, or leave it with the family who have cared for it for the past two and a half years.
