National museums free for under 26s

Access to all state-run museums and monuments will be free from this weekend, announces Ministry of Culture.

NATIONAL museums and monuments will be free to enter for the under 26s from this weekend, the Ministry of Culture has announced.

The new policy was announced at the beginning of the year but comes into force on Saturday.

The government said it had put in place a system to compensate the museums for lost earnings.
