New guide for diners on a budget
102 new restaurants among the 650 listed in Michelin’s Bonnes Petites Tables 2015 guide for cash-conscious diners
A NEW Michelin guide has come out - but you won’t find any budget-busting once-in-a-lifetime venues in the latest Bonnes Petites Tables, as it caters for for gourmands who have one eye on their purse-strings.
The 2015 guide lists nearly 650 restaurants across France that offer three-course meals for less than €32, or €36 in Paris.
Of the 102 new names in the latest edition of the guide, 11 are in Paris. One notable new entry in the capital is the Café des Abattoirs, which has caused something of a stir among diners in Paris since it opened in October 2013.
Aquitaine, meanwhile, boasts 12 new restaurants, and Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur has 13 new “budget” restaurants for food lovers to try.
The Bonnes Petites Tables guide was first published in 1997 and is for restaurants that have been awarded a good-value ‘Bib Gourmand’ rating.
Meanwhile, Michelin’s critics and editors are putting the finishing touches to this year’s complete Michelin Guide, which will be unveiled on February 2.
