No progress on my carte
The préfecture in Privas (Ardèche) is digging in its heels as far as a carte de séjour is concerned – saying I do not need one and to use my passport. I emailed again to say that although I know a carte is not obligatory it is an option I’m requesting – I await a reply.
Please could you let me have the email address of the British Embassy which was asking for updates from readers on their progress with a carte de séjour.
Maggie Nicholls, Ardèche
Editor’s note: The address for carte de séjour issues is: france.enquiries@fco.gov.uk
The embassy reports that following a number of emails received they have been seeking clarifications from the French authorities locally and aimed to hold discussions with them in January.
