One rail strike postponed

Walkout could take place on Friday evening as talks continue. November 23 drivers' strike still going ahead.

TWO unions have postponed a rail strike until Friday night.

The Fgaac and CFDT, who had been due to strike today, said that industrial action would be put on hold as discussions with the SNCF continue.

Their talks centre around new working contracts for freight drivers working for the SNCF however strikes could be followed by drivers on all trains.

A strike on November 23 by all train drivers of the CGT, FO, Sud-Rail, CFE/CGC is still set to go ahead from 20.00.
