Outdoor events all weekend long
Rendez-Vous aux Jardins sees 2,300 gardens open to the public, while the Fête du Vélo encourages you to get on your bike
TWO major events this weekend aim to tempt you into the open air and enjoy the great outdoors - on what looks set to be the warmest weekend of the year so far.
The Fête du Vélo encourages people to get their bike out of the garage and join in one of the 1,000 free events taking place in 450 towns.
This year the theme is biking in towns and discovering local heritage with your family.
A full list of biking events this weekend can be found at www.feteduvelo.fr
Meanwhile, Rendez-Vous aux Jardins sees over 2,300 public and private gardens opening their doors and holding special events including guided tours, gardening workshops and entertainment this weekend.
From formal château gardens in the Loire Valley to woodland gardens in Normandy and from tropical gardens on the Côte d'Azur to arid gardens in Provence, it is a great opportunity to explore and some of the gardens are not usually open to the public.
Connexion has picked five highlights from Rendez-Vous aux Jardins in its June edition, on sale now.
