Paris demo ban is extended
Restrictions on public gatherings extended until at least November 30 in Paris
A BAN on public demonstrations in the Paris region has been extended until November 30 at midnight.
The extension, announced on Saturday by the Paris préfecture de police, covers the first day of the UN climate change summit, when hundreds of foreign leaders are expected in the French capital.
Two protest marches that had been planned to take place either side of the COP21 climate talks, on November 29 and December 12, had already been banned.
The death toll from last week's attacks has risen to 130, after one of the victims being treated in hospital died from their injuries, prime minister Manuel Valls announced.
Meanwhile, seven of the eight people arrested on Wednesday in police raids in the Paris suburb of Saint-Denis have been released without charge.
A man suspected of providing accommodation to Abdelhamid Abaaoud, the alleged ringleader in the attacks, remains in police custody. Terror suspects in France can be detained for six days without charge.
