Playing your cartes right
My husband and I have lived in France for almost 16 years and in 2001, the Préfecture du Tarn in Albi granted us five-year cartes de séjour; but when we applied to renew them in 2006, our application was refused as we were European and didn’t need them.
In October 2016, we followed Connexion’s advice, and applied once more to the prefecture... and our application was accepted immediately with an invite in mid-December to have our fingerprints taken.
Just before Christmas we received a text inviting us to collect our cards. I hope this letter will encourage everyone to do likewise.
