Reader asks - what are these holes?
Hundreds of ping pong ball-sized hole grew to tennis ball size in reader’s garden
A CONNEXION reader would like to know what is causing the holes in her garden.
Despite living in the Haute-Vienne for eight years she has never come across the strange pattern of holes before.
They began to appear two months ago, at first the size of ping pong balls but growing to the size of tennis balls and larger.
She now counts hundreds of the holes, and some neighbours have also started to notice the same phenomenon.
Reader Vanessa Windust said that although an increasing number of snakes had been seen in the area, she was not convinced that this is what was causing them.
However, she has not seen any other animals that could explain the presence of the holes.
