Rice packets recalled in France over traces of banned pesticide
The product has been sold in nearly all major supermarkets across the country and has an expiry date of 2025
Packets of whole grain basmati rice are being recalled in France over traces of a banned pesticide.
The recall involves rice belonging to the Taureau Ailé brand, packaged in 500g bags and sold in most major supermarkets across France (Carrefour, Auchan, Galec, Cora, Intermarché and Casino).
The Lustucru group, responsible for the brand, has initiated the recall.
The affected rice bags have been commercialised since February 2022 and have an expiry date of January 1, 2025, the GTIN code 3038354593302 and the batch number L2021F.
The recall procedure will come to an end on March 20, 2023.
Customers having bought it should take it back to the shop for a refund or an exchange.
You can find out more about the recall procedure on the Rappel Conso website.
