Sarkozy to face trial on corruption charge
Former president Nicolas Sarkozy is to face trial in October accused of attempting to unlawfully obtain confidential inform-ation from a court official.

He is accused of seeking inform-ation in exchange for helping former judge Gilbert Azibert obtain a prized job in Monaco.
He allegedly made the offer through his lawyer Thierry Herzog, also on trial, with whom the inquiry revealed he often spoke via mobile phones obtained under false identities.
