Site helps choose green holidays
A new internet portal for finding eco-friendly holidays is being launched
A NEW internet portal for finding eco-friendly holidays is being launched, called www.pielaterre.com
The site will evaluate holidays according to factors like the green credentials of the accommodation and transport, and whether the food is locally-sourced.
It has graded 150 options so far. The site’s name refers to its founder’s surname Pie (which means magpie - hence its logo is a bird).
It is endorsed by bodies like WWF and official green living agency Ademe.
