SNCF bus service on starting blocks
It is confirmed the new long distance coach service will start in time for the London Olympics
SNCF has confirmed its new long-distance coach service will start on July 23 – in time for the London Olympics.
Initially called “Speed”, the service has been unveiled with the name iDBUS, on the model of the internet-based long-distance trains service iDTGV.
The first services will link Paris Gare de Bercy or Lille Gare Europe with three destinations – Victoria Coach Station in London, the Gare du Midi in Brussels and Amsterdam (Stadionplan).
There will be eight return trips a day from Paris and four from Lille, with more to come in the autumn.
