Spend your evening at the museum
Tonight across France museums are opening their doors to put on special activities and displays

The 13th Nuit des Musées kicks off tonight. As night falls people will be granted free entry into museums where there’ll be a variety of entertainment such as candle lit tours, workshops, light shows, tastings, performances and more, in a chance to discover museums in a different, fun and often magical way.
Here are three of our top picks:
Murder Party, Paris
For the young (or the young at heart), there are mysteries to solve in the capital. Visitors are invited to conduct an investigation into criminal goings on while discovering collections at the following museums: Musée de l’Armagnac, Musée des Augustins d’Hazebrouck and Musée Breton de Quimper. The police are also getting involved, inviting visitors to the Musée de la Préfecture de police de Paris where experts of the criminal investigation department will speak to you about what happens at a crime scene, identifying criminals and the techniques and scientific history of the police.
Musée des Beaux-arts, Orléans
Students at the Orléans art and design college were given a carte blanche, and have come up with a selection of installations and performances to be shown at the museum.
Musée national et Domaine du Château, Pau
A journey of sound and light through the permanent collections ending in the gardens where there is an exhibition of children's photos titled “the family resemblance”.
