Step-by-step guide to French tax form
Download our nine-page guide to the French tax declaration form for €5 – written specifically for Britons in France.
THE CONNEXION has released its latest guide to the French tax declaration form.
Every fiscal resident of France, whatever their nationality, must complete an income declaration to the tax authorities. This is a matter of fact – not choice.
Non-fiscal residents of France who have income which is generated, or arises, in France must also complete the forms.
Our help sheet explains what is meant by fiscal residency, the French tax deadline dates and the terminology and concepts on the form which may be unfamiliar.
It examines the different sort of revenue you need to declare to the authorities and where you should fill them in on the form.
It also explains what to do in order to benefit from tax credits and reductions from various activities such as environmental renovations.
The help sheet has been compiled by Connexion financial writer Hugh MacDonald and is written particularly for Britons living in France.
