Thieves use stickers to find empty homes
Police say thieves are using a new method to find out if houses and flats are empty – by putting stickers on the letterbox or door and then targeting any where the sticker has not been removed.
The warning from the Police Nationale suggested that people should remove any suspicious looking stickers from their own and neighbours’ doors to avoid being burgled.
