Tightrope walker in Seine challenge
Hundreds gather to watch Denis Josselin take highwire route over river in Paris
THERE are quicker and easier ways to cross the Seine in Paris, but few are as spectacular as they way Denis Josselin did it yesterday - 30m over the water, by tightrope.
It took him 30 minutes to make the 150m crossing between Quai de la Rapée and Quai d'Austerlitz.
He even took time out to walk a few metres while blindfolded, to the shock and delight of the hundreds of people who gathered to watch him.
You can watch a video of the stunt here.
It’s a journey Mr Josselin has made before. He was the last person to cross the river on a tightrope 10 years ago.
He hinted at further stunts. He refused to go into details, but said: “I have several ongoing projects and one of them is crossing over a massive height, of more than 70m.”
