TITEUF, Le Film was the most popular movie in the week it was released, with 367,541 ticket sales.

The character is the creation of Francophone Swiss comic artist Zep (Philippe Chappuis), who first doodled
him in 1992.

His name comes from petit oeuf, from his egg-shaped head, and Zep is said to have drawn him with his tuft of blond hair because he was “bored of doing hair”.

The albums sell millions and often revolve around Titeuf ’s worries about girls and sex.
