Train strikes will ‘not hit hard'
Rail bosses have said they do not expect tomorrow’s strikes will be as crippling as feared, according to the SNCF.
Rail bosses have said they do not expect tomorrow’s strikes will be as crippling as feared.
Train unions have called for a walk-out on June 10 to protest reforms to the freight system on the railways.
They will be joining a winder strike day by civil servants protesting against pensions reforms and job cuts.
An SNCF spokesman said: “On all main passenger lines, including TER, RER, Carail and TGV, the service will not be too badly affected.
“Thalys, Eurostar and the TGV Nord services should run as normal.
“Three in four TVG Atlantique trains will run, and one in two TGVs and Corail trains will run on the longer interregional routes across the country.”
