Travel plan portal for peace of mind
Anyone living in France can register travel plans on secure government website so they can be contacted in emergencies
ANYONE living in France who is planning a trip overseas can register with a government website so they can be contacted in case of an emergency.
The Ariane Portal, which is available to anyone who is normally resident in France and Monaco, is a free secure service that allows travellers to register their planned trips abroad.
All you have to do is give details of where are going and where you can be contacted during your stay.
Once you have registered, you will receive updates by email, SMS or telephone if the security situation in your destination changes.
If an emergency occurs while you are away, the French Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs Crisis Centre and relevant French Embassies will use the information to identify and contact you, or to find and contact friends and family back home.
To register your travel details, log on to the secure Ariane website
