Two for one deals at top restaurants
Thinking of trying somewhere new in town? The offer runs from September 21 to October 4 and reservations are open now
OVER 950 top-quality restaurants and bistros are offering two-for-one deals on meals for this year’s Tous au Restaurant project which runs from September 21 to October 4 – and reservations are now open.
Many are offering a three-course menu to two diners but you just pay for one meal. A glass of Bordeaux wine is also included in some restaurants.
The event is now in its 6th year and aims to encourage more people to dine out. In previous years, the offers have been available for just a week but this year the public will have 15 days to make the most of the deals.
Last year, 500,000 customers made reservations at the participating restaurants. The average bill for two people was €50 for a lunch or an evening meal.
A spokesperson told The Connexion: ‘’The main goal of the event is to inform the most people about French gastronomy at the lowest possible price. It is about exposing the public to all aspects of French and foreign cuisine in France’’
Another new aspect for 2015 is the extension of the project to Belgium, where 200 restaurants in Wallonia and Flanders will also be taking part.
Reservations opened on September 14 and can only be made online. For a list of participating restaurants see www.tousaurestaurant.com
