Two more suspected Sars-like cases
Another hospital patient and doctor are being examined today after 65-year-old was confirmed to have virus
HEALTH authorities in France are carrying out tests on two other people suspected of carrying a new Sars-like virus.
It comes after a 65-year-old man who had been travelling in the United Arab Emirates was confirmed earlier this week to have the novel coronavirus, also known as nCoV-EMC.
He is in intensive car in Douai and being given respiratory assistance and blood transfusions.
Two other suspected cases are being examined this morning. They are a man who shared a room in hospital with the patient and a doctor who treated him.
The new virus was first detected in September 2012 and since then more than 30 cases have been reported in different countries, with 18 deaths.
