Volunteers wanted for ski resort spring clean
Nearly a tonne of litter was collected on a volunteer clear-up day last year

Officials at Alpe d'Huez have appealed for volunteers to help pick-up litter left by holidaymakers during the ski season.
Anyone free to help the spring clean ahead of the summer holiday season is asked to be at the Alpe d'Huez Municipal Technical Centre at 7.30am next Tuesday, April 24.
Gloves, rubbish bags and tongs will be supplied - and, after helping clear seven sectors of the resort, those taking part will also be invited to a well-deserved barbecue at 12.30pm.
Last year, 70 volunteers collected nearly a tonne of waste in a single morning from the slopes of the popular Isère ski resort.
Those who wish to take part should contact info@mairie-alpedhuez.fr or telephone 04 76 11 21 21
