We are pariahs for living abroad

WE HAVE restrictions on e-books; we are in effect criminalised if we try to take out a Sky subscription; we can’t catch-up with Freeview TV via BBC or ITV because we have non-UK ISP addresses; we can’t buy and download music from Tesco etc. nor download e-books to Sony e-readers and, finally, we can’t bet on UK horseracing websites.

This is depressing to my 75-year-old, wheelchair-bound husband, who after 14 years in France, is unable to enjoy his lifetime hobby and place small online bets on UK races.

What next? Will we be stopped from shopping? EU = free trading; but does it really?

Why doesn’t Brussels sort the problems relating to such pleasure/leisure pursuits and European lifestyles? Why are we made pariahs for seeking to experience those lifestyles?
