Website pays back your parking fines
Car sales website says it will refund parking penalties if drivers get enough votes from fellow users
A CAR sales website is offering to refund users' parking fines for a limited period as part of a promotional campaign.
Kidioui.com, which sells new cars and scooters, is encouraging drivers to sign up for its social network and explain the circumstances under which they were hit with the penalty.
Other users are then asked to vote for the most deserving cases. The site says it will refund fines if the driver gets more votes than the number of euros fined.
Only parking fines will be considered - penalties for other driving offences are not allowed. The offer runs until the end of September.
The cost of parking fines rose from €11 to €17 last week - the first increase in a quarter of a century.
