Council employee wrote a novel blowing the whistle on her colleagues' laziness

AN AQUITAINE regional council employee who wrote a novel blowing the whistle on her colleagues’ laziness and incompetence has been suspended for 10 months.

Aurélie Boullet, writing as Zoé Shepard, to lift the lid on local government inefficiency in Absolument Dé-bor-dée, which has sold more than 40,000 copies.

Aquitaine council’s disciplinary panel said Ms Boullet had shown “a lack of discretion”.
