Xmas travel chaos: were you affected?
Eurostar breakdowns, Easyjet cancellations and icy roads - we want to hear your Christmas travel horror stories
FREEZING weather conditions in the days leading up to Christmas brought chaos to the roads, trains and planes and disrupted many expats' attempts to visit friends and family in the UK.
Thousands of Eurostar passengers were stranded on either side of the Channel after four trains broke down in the tunnel because of the snow.
Several hundred Easyjet flights were cancelled as airport runways iced over.
Ferry terminals were also jam-packed as travellers whose flights and trains were cancelled desperately tried to find an alternative route back in time.
We want to hear your tales of Christmas travel problems. Where were you heading - and what went wrong? Was enough done to keep you informed of the problems - and fix them?
How inconvenienced were you? Has the experience made you think twice about how you travel in the future?
Email contact@connexionfrance.com and we will publish a selection of the best letters in February's paper and here online.
Please include your full name and tell us whereabouts in France you live.
