Banks are obliged to check transactions
A man who failed to properly secure his bank card and PIN number and then took several days to report the card’s loss has won a case against his bank after it refused reimbursement for frauds carried out.
Banks were reminded they had an obligation to check all transactions as the Cour de Cassation appeal court upheld the client’s claim.
