The thresholds are usually updated each year in line with inflation, and apply to spring declarations (for 2025 income)
Tax bands set to rise
The income tax bands are set to rise by 1% next year, according to the draft version of the 2018 Finance Law.
This takes account of a slight rise in cost of living. There is no change to actual rates applied. The bands are expected to be:
- 14% from €9,807 to €27,086;
- then 30% up to €72,617;
- then 41% up to €153,783 and then 45%.
