Worried about Brexit? Health Insurance?
Insurance agency has the options for you…
Sponsored feature:
Based in Bordeaux, Laurence Lavoye and Peter Musto have been successfully arranging insurance for expats for the past 10 years. They are the only Swisslife insurance agency to work with English speaking customers all over France.
As Peter explains, “whether you are entitled to the French health system or not we can insure you. If you are entitled to the French health system we can provide a lot of different policies, starting from hospital cover only to a full cover. We have in total nine different policies to choose from and we also work with another insurance company provider if needed.
“If you are not yet entitled to the French health system, don’t worry, we can insure with our private health insurance policy. It usually takes six months when you first arrive in France if a European expat to be entitled to the French system. We can insure you during this time (two weeks minimum and up to a year, you choose the length of time). Then when you are entitled to the French system, we move you on to our ordinary top up health insurance, known as the mutuelle.”
Laurence continues, “We have three different policies for private health insurance: the first policy is for accidents only, this is cheaper but if you have an accident and if you are hospitalised you will be insured, same if you need to consult a doctor following a minor accident, you will be insured. It’s the cheapest cover for peace of mind. Then we have the comprehensive cover and the fully comprehensive policy. All the documents are in English.
“If you are a non-European citizen or if you are not entitled to the French health system, we can also provide the private health insurance for you, as above, for accidents only, and for comprehensive and fully comprehensive policies.
“If you have a holiday home abroad, we can also insure you. We can offer private health insurance anywhere in the world and also travel insurance.”
Peter concludes: “Swisslife is an official insurance and private bank established since 1839. Thus we also provide banking services, home, car and motorbike insurance. We are based in France and manned by knowledgeable English-Irish and French speaking staff. The company’s objective is to help clients in a language you will understand. We will guide you through the different combinations concerning the different French and private healthcare schemes and offer personalised advice. 60% of our business is through recommendation and we are very proud of this.”
