THE solar catamaran that has completed its round-theworld trip (Connexion website, May 4) is surely not the first ship to circumnavigate the earth without leaving a carbon footprint, as suggested in the article. Have we forgotten Drake, Anson and Chichester, not forgetting Bougainville and Tabarly?
