Giving up on citizenship plan
Some years ago I reapplied for a carte de séjour after my first five-year one had expired.
The mairie was very helpful in obtaining the relevant forms from the préfecture, which I duly completed and sent back to St Brieuc.
After a year I’d heard nothing so went to see my mairie again. They were told that my application would not be processed as ‘it was not a priority’. I had hoped to apply for citizenship but abandoned the plan.
