Fuel prices drop month-on-month in France
The price of fuel in France has dropped this week, marking the year’s first month-on-month drop, according to official figures published on June 3.

Diesel, which makes up 80% of sales at fuel stations, was at €1.4727 per litre on average, a drop of 1.71 centimes.
Unleaded petrol 95 (SP95) dropped by 1.02 centimes to €1.5841, and unleaded petrol 98 (SP98) was at €1.6482, a drop of 0.69 centimes, according to figures published by the ministry for ecology.
The price of fuel at pumps can vary considerably, depending on a number of factors, including the global cost of a barrel of oil, the euro-dollar exchange rate, stock levels of petroleum, changing demand, and the tax rate.
The June drop in prices followed a drop in May, to mark the first month-on-month drop of the year.
Currently, the global fuel industry is experiencing intense commercial pressure due to tensions between the United States and China, as well as the United States and Mexico.
