Scotland is now from today (September 3) issuing Covid-19 vaccination certificates with QR codes that are compatible with France’s Covid application TousAntiCovid.

It means that people can scan their certificates into the application, which then serves as proof of vaccination and can be used as part of France’s health pass (pass sanitaire) scheme.

This was already possible for vaccination certificates issued in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

People in Scotland can get a new vaccination certificate with the QR code by downloading one from NHS inform

A health pass, which is proof of being fully vaccinated, proof of testing negative for Covid-19 or proof of having been positive 11 days to six months prior, is required to enter most public venues in France, including restaurants and cafes.

While the Scottish vaccination certificate is certainly compatible with the TousAntiCovid application, The Connexion has not yet been able to confirm if it is compatible yet with the QR code reading technology being used in France.

It is likely that if it is not yet compatible, it will be within a few days.
