A recall of certain Tesla vehicles is underway in France, due to a potential issue with the vehicle’s protection in the event of a crash.

The issue relates side-on collisions with a post.

“The lateral force exerted on the shoulder may exceed the permitted limit during a collision,” said France’s official recall website regarding the recall.

Certain versions of the Model 3 vehicle are affected, with the type-approval number e4*2007/46*1293* (003).

This applies to vehicles produced between June 2024 and May 2026.

The recall is taking place across Europe.

You can check if your vehicle is included in the recall by finding your 17-character Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), in your vehicle registration document, and checking the official Tesla recall website.

Official advice from the government if your vehicle is concerned is to immediately contact the seller.
