Ryanair does not owe customers going to and from France any favours

Company must take more than passenger wants into consideration

To the Editor,

Responding to reader comments about Ryanair cutting winter services, I must disagree.

It is not like a town running a bus service.

Ryanair are great but they are a business needing to keep afloat.

There are coaches and trains that run to Toulouse [from Béziers, where the first reader was complaining about cuts], and EasyJet flights from there.

If you live in the back of beyond you can’t expect to be present at every family event.

We moved to France 40 years ago, things are so much easier now, it used to be trains and ferries, or a long drive, no motorways, not even dual carriageways, most of the time. It was worth it to live here though!

You simply have to do the legwork online; the world, and commercial airlines, do not owe you a living.

Yours,
