20% of flights cancelled on Thursday
Twenty per cent of flights will be cancelled on Thursday in France due to the national strikes over pension reforms.
A spokesman for the DGAC national civil aviation body said: “Twenty per cent of capacity is being removed; the flight plans of the airlines must be adjusted as a consequence.”
The cancellations are due to strike participation by some of the air traffic controllers and ground crew staff.
Meanwhile 90% of TGV trains will be cancelled and 97% of TER local trains. Buses will be put on to replace certain TER routes.
Half of Eurostar trains will not run.
See this article from this morning for more on where to find information on cancellations.
