Alert for heavy rain and floods

The Somme, Pas-de-Calais and Seine-Maritimes are under alert until Tuesday

METEO France has placed the Somme, Pas-de-Calais and Seine-Maritime on orange alert for heavy rain and floods.

Bouts of extremely heavy showers are expected over the next two days.

Residents in Le Touquet in Pas-de-Calais received 8cm of rain in 24 hours on Sunday.

The weather forecaster predicts 4-5cm over the course of the next 24 hours, rising to 6-8cm in some areas.
