Another death and two still missing after floods
The body of a 77-year-old man who disappeared on Saturday after the flooding has been found in the woods in the Var this morning.
He was found 10km away from his home by a volunteer who was taking part in the research.
He is the fifth person to have died as a result of the heavy rain and flooding in the Var this weekend.
The police are looking for two other men, who have been missing since Saturday. They are a 44-year-old fisherman in Cassis and a 60-year-old man in the Var, between Saint-Maximin-la-Sainte-Baume and Seillons-Source-D'Argens.
Two months of rain fell in 48 hours and caused widespread damages, flooding and electricity cuts in the Var, Bouches-du-Rhône, and Alpes-Maritimes.
