Bumper year for swimming pool sales
The past year was a bumper year for swimming pool sales – close to a record set in 2007 before the financial crisis hit.
From October 2015 to September 2016 annual turnover for the leisure sector jumped 18.5% to €1.8billion.
The industry puts this down to extra efforts in quality and innovation.
Compared to the past, today’s pools tend to be more modest-sized and less reliant on the use of chemicals.
