Coronavirus: fourth case confirmed in France
A fourth case of coronavirus has been confirmed in France.
An 80-year-old Chinese tourist from the province of Hudei, where is situated Wuhan, the centre of the epidemic, is said to be in a serious condition and in need of intensive care in a Paris hospital.
No other details were given on the man, the length of his stay and places he visited in France.
Inquiries have been launched to find other people who could have been in contact with him and therefore could be infected.
Previous infections in France were one man in Bordeaux and a couple in Paris.
In China, 5,974 people have been infected and 132 have died from the virus.
British Airways has suspended all the flights from the UK to China while around 500 French people will be repatriated from Wuhan to Paris this week, health minister Agnès Buzyn said.
