Defective FFP2 Covid masks recalled across France
The Virtue Health products, sold in packs of 50 between February and November 2021, have a potentially harmful filtration issue

Several batches of FFP2 masks are being recalled in France because of a defect in their filtration layers which could cause internal damage to people using them.
Covid face masks are now optional everywhere apart from medical and care settings, but the recall may apply to people who have masks left over from a time of stricter restrictions.

The masks, which came from the Virtue Health brand, were sold between February 17, 2021 and November 24, 2021 in boxes containing two packs of 50.
If you still have some at home, government alert service RappelConso advises that you take them back to the shop where you bought them for a refund. Do not continue to use them.
The packs in question carry the product number: REF SH9801 and the batch number: 2021-53317-1.
You can find out more on the Rappel Conso website. A helpline has also been put in place on 01 77 38 14 64 for people who have any questions about the recall.
This is not the first time that faults have been discovered within this type of mask. At the beginning of this month, FFP2 and FFP3 masks made by Alsace Protection in Hœnheim (Bas-Rhin) were also recalled because of a filtration issue.
