Fourth Covid-19 death, 13 new cases identified
A fourth victim in France has died due to the coronavirus this morning – and 13 new cases have been identified.
The victim was a 92-year-old man, who was part of the new Covid-19 cluster of cases in Morbihan in Brittany.
There are now 204 cases of infection in France.
There is at least one case in every metropolitan region of France, apart from Corsica, said the French health organisation Direction générale de la santé.
The previous deaths involved an 89-year-old woman in Oise, a 60-year-old teacher in Oise, and a 81-year-old Chinese tourist in Paris.
President Macron has announced that face masks will be “requisitioned” and “reserved for care-givers and people with coronavirus”. He will visit the Health Minister and the emergency centre which is in charge of the coronavirus crisis today.
